The Golden Ticket is good for one year of individual bench space at LabCentral’s shared facility—including all resident benefits (subject to policies and program rules). Applications will be accepted from October 2, 2017 through November 1, 2017 (11:59 PST). All Life Science companies are encouraged to apply.

Official Contest Rules

  1. Sponsor. This promotion is sponsored by Agilent Technologies, Inc., 5301 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Santa Clara, California USA 95051 (“Agilent”).
  2. Promotion Period. This promotion begins on October 2, 2017 at 12:00 Noon PST and ends on November 1, 2017 at 12:00 Noon PST (“Promotion Period”), before which all entries must be received.
  3. Promotion Description/Eligibility. This promotion is limited to specific countries, and is only open to entrants who are incorporated or registered to do business in, and physically located within Canada and the United States (excluding Arizona). Entrants are limited to life sciences and biotechnology entities with a focus on novel target identification in oncology, immunology, or immunotherapy, and must not have received cumulative capital funding in excess of $7,500.000 USD, or have annual revenue greater than $3,000,000 USD.

    The following are not eligible to participate or receive an award: (i) government agencies and institutions (including public universities), and their employees; (ii) individuals and entities who appear on the U.S. Government Department of Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals List; and (iii) employees of Agilent Technologies, Inc., its affiliates, and subsidiaries, Channel Partners and agents, and immediate family members of each. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.

     
  4. How to Enter. Visit http://www.agilent.com/en/promotions/goldenticket during the Promotion Period and follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form.  Entries will not be acknowledged or returned, and incomplete and/or incoherent entries are void. Agilent, in its sole, reasonable discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any entries determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of this promotion. All entrant information, including e-mail addresses, is subject Agilent’s Privacy Statement which can be found at www.agilent.com/go/privacy.
  5. Award Description. The winner of the promotion will receive a Golden Ticket granting access to one lab bench at LabCentral’s shared facility in Cambridge, MA for a period of one year. The start of the one-year period will commence once space becomes available at the LabCentral facility.  The winner will be subject to LabCentral approval and will be required to enter into an agreement with LabCentral prior to accessing the facility. The total approximate value of the award is $50,000 US. The second place winner will receive consumables (Agilent product lines BC, JW, 58) and product training of their choice, with an aggregate value of approximately $2,500 US. The third place winner will receive consumables (Agilent product lines BC, JW, 58) and product training of their choice, with an aggregate value of approximately $1,500 US.  Agilent reserves the right to substitute an award of equal or greater value in the event that the stated award becomes unavailable.
  6. Taxes. All federal, state and/or local income and other taxes and duties, if any, are the winner's sole responsibility.
  7. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning this promotion depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  8. Winner Selection.  On or before November 6, 2017, Agilent will, in its sole discretion, select three entrants to advance to the next round of judging.  The three entrants selected will be required to deliver, in person and at their expense, a presentation regarding their entry to a panel of judges chosen by Agilent, at LabCentral’s Cambridge facility on November 16, 2017.  The panel of judges will select the first, second and third place winners on or about November 16, 2017.  Judging in all rounds will be based on entrants with the highest potential in novel target identification in oncology, immunology, or immunotherapy.  The decisions of the panel of judges are final and binding. 
  9. Winner Notification. Any potential winner will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within seven days from the date that Agilent first tries to notify him/her, and/or the award, such potential winner forfeits all rights to win the promotion, receive the award, or advance to the next round, and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Upon contacting a potential winner and determining that he/she has met all eligibility requirements of the promotion, including without limitation, where permitted by law, the execution of required waivers, publicity and liability releases and disclaimers, such individual will be declared a "winner" of the promotion. Agilent assumes no responsibility for lost, late, or misdirected communications or any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur.  No substitution, transfer, or assignment of the award is permitted, except that Agilent reserves the right to substitute an award of equivalent value in the event the offered award is unavailable.
  10. General Conditions. Acceptance of the award constitutes permission for Agilent to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law, including:

    Recording the name, likeness, image, voice, relevant information, and presentation of the person appearing as an authorized representative of the entrant (“Representative”) or record the name, associated images, relevant information, and presentation, of the entrant as applicable; and,
    Copy, modify, publicly distribute, publicly perform and display photos of the Representative/the entrant and all or selected portions of the Representative’s/the entrant’s information and presentation.
    Such uses may be in any and all formats and via any and all media or modes of distribution, including without limitation, electronic media (such as the internet) and print media (such as sales brochures and print advertisements.)  These rights are non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, and worldwide. 
    In addition, within one year following the award, the first place winner agrees to: i) provide three written testimonials regarding the use of Agilent products at LabCentral’s facility, ii) participate in a speaking engagement at a major conference chosen by Agilent, and iii) lead one Agilent sponsored webinar.  Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Agilent, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this promotion.

  11. Governing Law. This promotion is governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Agilent takes no position on whether the selected entrant’s acceptance of the award is in compliance with guidelines, rules, laws, or regulations to which the selected entrant may be subject.
  12. Limitation of Liability. By entering, entrants release, hold harmless and indemnify Agilent and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this promotion or any award won, including the use thereof.
  13. Internet. If for any reason the internet portion of the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Agilent or its third-party providers that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, Agilent reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion, and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Agilent assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications-line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Agilent is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software, or for failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Agilent on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this promotion.
  14. Submitted Content. Entrants acknowledge and agree not to submit any Content to Agilent which is confidential and that any Content entrants submit through this promotion is subject to disclosure to third parties. “Content” includes the text, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, audiovisual combinations, and other materials entrants submit to Agilent through this promotion. The entrants submitting each entry affirm, represent, and warrant that they own all rights in the entry and its Content.  Entrants grant Agilent a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, display, distribute, make other versions of and disclose such Content in connection with the promotion and use of the award. Entrants shall be solely responsible for the Content and the consequences of submitting the Content to Agilent through this promotion, including that which may result from later publication of the Content by Agilent. Entrants further agree that Content submitted to Agilent does not contain any third party owned Content, including copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights.
