Agilent 1200 Series pumping systems
Agilent offers pumping systems for all HPLC needs, providing excellent
flow and composition stability over a wide range of flow rate ranges. Hardware
and software of all Agilent pumps are designed for easy setup, operation,
maintenance and early recognition of problems.
Analytical flow rate range
0.05 – 10 mL/min
- Agilent 1200 Series isocratic
pump
A work-horse designed for the needs of QA/QC applications. Recommended
for GPC applications, where run-to-run and day-to-day precision of retention
times is important.
- Agilent 1200 Series binary
pump
The binary pump implements a high-pressure mixing principle. It is the pump of choice for reproducible gradients and high performance, especially at lower flow rates. It is also designed for high-throughput applications using columns with standard particle sizes such as 3.5 or 5 µm. - Agilent 1200 Series binary
pump SL
Especially designed for high throughput high resolution applications using
sub-two-micron columns for LC-UV and LC-MS applications in the pharmaceutical,
chemical and life science market. Based on a high pressure mixing principle
with flow rates up to 5 mL/min the Agilent 1200 Series binary pump SL can
also be used for all standard applications where highest performance and
reproducibility is needed.
- Agilent 1200 Series quaternary
pump
Provides highest flexibility in solvent mixing. Recommended for a wide
range of research and routine applications in the environmental and food
area, and for method development in the pharmaceutical industry.

Extended flow rate range - capillary, nano flow, and preparative
0.001 – 2.5 mL/min
- Agilent 1200 Series capillary
pump
A unique pump design – EFC (Electronic Flow Control), real-time adjustment
of the flow rate – offers better control and flexibility of low flow
rates. The pump is ideally suited for capillary LC and LC/MS applications,
like bio-pharmaceutical research, where sample volumes are limited and
higher sensitivity is essential.
- Agilent 1200 Series nano
pump
Uses a unique solvent delivery technology optimized for nanoliter-per-minute
flows and features EFC (Electronic Flow Control) with active feedback and
real-time adjustment of the flow rate. This provides extremely stable and
accurate flow, resulting in stable ion generation, which in turn provides
higher MS sensitivity. Proteomics is a typical application area for the
nanoflow pump. The nanoflow LC system
and Nanoflow Proteomics Solution
is used for multidimensional
chromatography and LC/MS/MS for protein identification (online and
offine 2D LC).
