Varian, Inc. (Nasdaq: VARI) announced today that it will co-market and distribute MestReNova NMR processing software, recently released by Mestrelab Research, Spain (http://www.mestrec.com). MestReNova delivers outstanding data processing, post-processing analysis, and reporting tools for Varian NMR spectra to the desktop PC. In addition, other vendor formats can be imported and co-managed. It is available for Windows Vista or XP, Mac OS X, and a number of versions of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat.
Addressing the needs of both pharmaceutical and academic researchers, MestReNova delivers qualitative and quantitative information for the identification and structural elucidation of unknowns. Applications range from the analysis and identification of drug metabolites in biological samples to the structural characterization of target compounds in synthetic pathways.
MestReNova employs an intuitive and modern user interface, specially designed with similarities in form and function to other office-based software. Investigators can take advantage of unique data display capabilities to more easily extract information from NMR spectra.
All processing and analysis tools use the most up-to-date algorithms to ensure that the data is of the highest quality and accuracy. A rich scripting language is included that further enhances flexibility and productivity.
"The coupling of MestreReNova software with a Varian NMR Spectrometer delivers the ultimate solution for any scientist interested in obtaining information rather than collecting data," said Martin O'Donoghue, Senior Vice President, Scientific Instruments, Varian, Inc. "The powerful combination of Varian's leading edge NMR data acquisition system with state-of-the-art data analysis and reporting software represents a major leap forward for the customer in terms of quality and productivity."
