Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has won EDN's 2009 Innovation Award and Test & Measurement World's 2010 Best in Test Award. The winners, chosen by a readership poll, were recently announced by the publications. EDN 2009 Product Innovation Award

Agilent's 89600 Vector Signal Analysis (VSA) software won Test & Measurement World's 2010 Best in Test of Time. The VSA software plays a key role in the communications and wireless networking industry. The software provides R&D engineers with the signal PHY layer analysis tools that are crucial to the development of base stations, access points and mobile units. "Innovation has continued aggressively throughout the economic downturn, as evidenced by EDN's 20th annual Innovation Award winners," said Rick Nelson, EDN's editor-in-chief. "Thirty products won out over more than 130 finalists in very competitive categories. The Agilent products, which won in the selected categories, are a prime example of what key innovators can accomplish."
