SAN JOSE, Calif., FPGA Summit, Dec. 8, 2008
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that the company will participate in two seminar sessions here at the inaugural FPGA Summit. The event focuses on the design and use of FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays).
FPGAs offer flexible, rapid deployment of very high performance communications physical layer (PHY) architectures, such as those found in Software-Defined Radios (SDR). While the speed and reconfigurability of FPGAs have enabled new applications for signal processing, the complexity of SDR system architectures creates additional design challenges. At FPGA Summit, Agilent will present a fresh approach to these challenges, enabled by a new electronic system-level (ESL) design environment called SystemVue 2008.
"Traditional tools and approaches aren't always keeping up with the sophistication and pace of emerging waveforms," said Daren McClearnon, product marketing manager with Agilent's EEsof EDA division. "At FPGA Summit, we are advocating an electronic system-level approach to PHY design. Beta testers are already enjoying time savings when using our approach on real physical layer FPGA projects. We're pleased that FPGA Summit offers a venue to communicate the benefits of our new SystemVue 2008 platform."
Agilent sessions include:
Agilent offers a wide range of test solutions to assist in FPGA design and verification, including system-level design software, high-speed deep-memory oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and dynamic probes.
