Nick Roelofs

President, Life Sciences Group
Nick Roelofs is president of Agilent’s Life Sciences Group. His organization provides products and solutions for the life science markets which include genomics, proteomics, research and disease understanding, and pharmaceutical drug discovery and development/QA/QC. He oversees the strategic direction of the business and has product development responsibility for liquid chromatographs, capillary electrophoresis, microfluidics, magnetic resonance, automation, bioreagents, informatics, X-Ray and mass spectrometry.
Roelofs joined Agilent from Bio-Rad where he was Group Operations Officer of the Life Sciences business. Before Bio-Rad, Nick was Chief Operating Officer at Stratagene, and prior to that was Business Director of PCR for Applied Biosystems. He brings 21 years of experience in the Life Sciences and Diagnostics industry where he has held several roles in R&D, business development, and business management.
Roelofs holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Nevada and an MS in Organic Chemistry from the University of Iowa.
