On Sept. 19, 2013, Agilent announced plans to separate into two industry-leading public companies, one in life sciences, diagnostics and applied markets (LDA) that will retain the Agilent name, and the other comprised of the electronic measurement businesses that has been named Keysight Technologies.
Bill Sullivan is president and CEO of Agilent. Ron Nersesian has assumed those roles for Keysight. Keysight began operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Agilent on Aug. 1, 2014. The final separation is expected to take place through a tax-free spinoff of Keysight to Agilent shareholders and is targeted to be completed in early November 2014.
